For this one you’ll need to cast your minds back to October, when it was still warm and the leaves were turning brown. Lots of our colleagues recommended that we visit the Apple Festival, whichtakes place in an orchard in Steinsel once a year. I have to admit, I was a bit unsure what to expect – surely apple-related festivities are quite niche? – but it was a brilliant day out. We picked our own apples, trying different colours, sizes and flavours, bought fresh apple juice which we had just seen being pressed, and, because this is Luxembourg, there were cakes, sausages and alcohol available. If you’re ever in Luxembourg in autumn and you’re after an inexpensive  activity in the fresh air, I would definitely recommend Steinsel!

Also, the walk up the hill to the orchard definitely cancels out any cake you may eat there.
